For many of us the thought of a visit to the dentist can fill us with fear and anxiety. With a long history of treating very anxious patients, we appreciate that we need to do all we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

We believe that by listening to and understanding your fears we can help improve your dental experience. We have safe, effective sedative techniques that we can use to help relieve the stress and fear, ensuring your treatment as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

Many patients would prefer to be “asleep” for their dental treatments but are aware of the risks of a general anaesthetic. Sedation has many of the benefits of general anaesthetic without the associated risks.

We use intravenous Midazolam to make you feel calm and relaxed during your dental treatment. Midazolam has amnesic effects and many patients are unable to remember the vast majority of their treatment.

Many patients would like sedation for all of their treatment whilst others may choose to be sedated for certain procedures such as extractions. If you would like to learn more, please ask a member of our team.

A few comments from our patients:

“After many years of not visiting the dentist, you have restored my trust as well as my teeth! Thank you for making the whole experience relaxed and easy. Thank you doesn’t seem enough.” A Norman

“Can I just say what a wonderful service I have received from your practice. In particular your excellent manner in reducing my nervousness, coupled with your hygienists instruction has made a vast improvement to my oral wellbeing. Thank you so much.” L Hall
